'Art and Design in the Virtual Environment': The 5 June 2003 symposium was organised to discuss the impact of communication tools on art and design in an increasingly globalised world. In an era where information is rapidly shifting to the digital realm, the shift of art and design production towards the virtual environment is emphasised. The objective of the symposium is to discuss the impact of art and design in the virtual environment on education, aesthetics and creative processes, and to compile the academic contributions made in this field into a reference document.
